The Faculty of Science Inaugurated Science Club at Shri. Vasantrao Naik Hall, Amolakchand Mahavidyalaya, Yavatmal on Wednesday dated 23rd September 2026. The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. R. S. Tatwawadi, Principal, JDIET, Yavatmal. Chief Guest Dr. R. S. Tatwawadi, in his inaugural address, he urged students to cultivate scientific temperament, curiosity, and a spirit of inquiry to find innovative solutions to real-world problems. He appreciated the initiative of Amolakchand Mahavidyalaya in establishing the Science Club and said such platforms will empower students to go beyond textbooks and and contribute to societal progress. The presidential address of Dr. A. B. Lad, Principal, Amolakchand Mahavidyalaya, congratulated the Faculty of Science for establishing the Science Club. He said the science club will provide a vibrant platform for students to nurture creativity, teamwork, and research aptitude through exhibitions, competitions, guest lectures, and hands-on experiments. He further appreciated the School Connect initiative, noting that it will enable college students to mentor school children, thereby spreading scientific awareness at the grassroots level and fulfilling the institution's social responsibility. Coordinator of the program Dr. Anand Kakde highlighted the core objectives of Science club. He also elaborated on the fundamentals of the School Connect initiative to to nurture scientific curiosity among school students. The programme was further graced by the presence of school representatives Mr. S. S. Rathod, Anglo Hindi High School and Junior College and Mr. Amit Rajkuntawar, Bapuji Aney Vidyalaya,. The school teachers participation in the School Connect initiative, reflecting strong academia-school collaboration. The programme witnessed enthusiastic presence of IQAC Coordinator Dr. Madhuri Bhade, Science shift incharge Dr. Previn Joshi, HoD’s of Science faculty, all Heads of Departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and a large number of B.Sc. and M.Sc. students. Mr. Yashwant Khandare efficiently anchored the entire programme, maintaining a lively flow and ensuring seamless coordination between the dignitaries and students. Dr. Angha Anmod proposed the vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the chief guest, the president, the coordinator, faculty members, and students for their valuable presence and wholehearted cooperation in making the inauguration a success.
